Sune'ere Dra'sen VS Khooey Redpointe [Class A, Ranked] Empty Re: Sune'ere Dra'sen VS Khooey Redpointe [Class A, Ranked]

Sune’ere had been inactive in the games for long enough. Recovering from his trials, retaining his body to work not just at what was formerly peak efficiency he had to go beyond it if he ever hoped to compete at the top of the ring once more. He had been a big fish in a small pond, and now he was in the ocean. Teleported into this arena by his own will he’d chosen his opponent, but of course he also had been hesitant about it. Having a fight with Khooey, was his first step towards attacking other people in Celesin, and proving that he was their equal.

He stood within this arena, wearing his usual full white cloak. It wasn’t such a bad idea to hide his arsenal after all. While he had a second to he would pat himself down, doing a quick gear check essentially. His hood was pulled up, trying to give him every advantage that he could versus what might become his first real opponent. Clattering at his feet were a pair of rune gauntlets he slid forward in front of him. The only noticeable weapons besides those were something new he’d been tinkering with. Strapped across him was a rather simple looking rifle, Sune wasn’t an idiot. He knew that the Redpointe girls were master markswomen. His own revolvers and hand cannon were great for basic long range all the way to the extreme close range. However there came a point where minor inaccuracies could mess up his aim and send a bullet too far off course. So he’d made himself a gun just in case this fight turned into a duel at the longest range that they could manage. After all, she had once wounded his father with a gun. He needed to keep his wits about him.

Time ticked forward, as he was anticipating fighting the first person in this whole tournament that he had at least a bit of respect for.

Sune'ere Dra'sen VS Khooey Redpointe [Class A, Ranked] Empty Re: Sune'ere Dra'sen VS Khooey Redpointe [Class A, Ranked]

Khooey could have likely found a way in time to get somewhere by her own volition in the same way as Sune’ere, but, the young Ifrit wasn’t quite there yet. There was also the coin but that too was overrode by the spirit of wrecked nerves and procrastination. Sure—she’d signed up for the damned games like everyone else she held in esteem and had done it even before it was made clear that all worthy Celesin upper-echelon militants and specialists were required to do so by the emperor’s decree. See…she hadn’t gone over the rules and protocols until it was too late.

Imagine her relief when weeks passed without anyone offering a challenge?

Until, of course, one had come from Sune’ere Dra’sin. Khooey had seen his ritualistic trials; all the damage done by Fenris, Daul and then Mesiphidon. Luckily, he had lived through it. Even she’d joined in on congratulating him. Though it was a bit of a shock to the system to learn he’d been dating Rose and nobody had thought to tell her. Regardless, she did as required and had accepted the challenge with a hard swallow.

Fighting a Dra’sin as her first challenge? It came off as the worst brand of luck in her eyes. But she would at least hold her own.

The Ifrit watched Sune’ere arrive and couldnt help but grimace at not only how ready Sune’ere looked, but bigger. Was it an illusion or had he put on quite a bit of muscle since she’d last seen him? Khooey had to stop herself from being entirely too crunchy and waving at the Prince. This wasn’t a glass of lemonade on the Redpointe house’s stoop— it was to be a bloody affair that he had specifically challenged her to. He likely aimed to do some damage.

As for her accoutrements, she too wore a cloak but it was a three-quarters style that hemmed at her mid thigh over the canvas and soft leather-like material of her tactical coverall. She had the usual hidden knives, the blue Colt 45 on one hip and an all black revolver with modular panels, eight slots in the cylinder yoke and a long, rectangular barrel. The hip sling even had elastic bands to hold sixteen more bullets— and she’d filled them. It was definitely as unique as it was designed very obviously by the woman Sune’ere had fallen deeply in love with.

Lastly, on her back she had the all black Langes-messer gifted to her by the Primoris Ultonis. Khooey was armed for projectiles just as Sune’ere was but she was known to be gifted with a blade and had been an apprentice to the best. She’d had no idea how this scuffle might go down and had taken care to ensure she was prepared at each angle. It likely still wouldnt have her come off as intimidating by any means as she was still soft, small in stature, of very feminine build and her dark hair was pulled into a utilitarian knot atop her skull. The horns, though...they shone.

After he checked himself for everything Khooey gave him a single inclination of her head. One sharp nod of acknowledgement and unlike most other pride fighters and state sponsored warriors she wouldnt play the bad ass act. Her anxiety was plain upon her features even as, in a flash; she pulled the Colt from her belt and fired off three shots at Sune’er before breaking right into a diagonal run. The specialized ammunition, also of Rose’s make, were smooth upon exiting the blue revolver and were aimed with surgical precision for both of Sune’ere shoulders at the joint. Just to the side of the collarbone. The third was meant for the crux of his right wrist just as his hands were lowering from the checking gestures.

She was still every inch a Redpointe Sentinel underneath the Celesin gear.

Just after firing the Colt, Khooey’s hands had bloomed with violet flame; they crawled over her skin like a fluid. A preparation to use one of her natural tools in tandem with her weapons..

Sune'ere Dra'sen VS Khooey Redpointe [Class A, Ranked] Empty Re: Sune'ere Dra'sen VS Khooey Redpointe [Class A, Ranked]

Post by Sune Fri Oct 14, 2016 11:17 pm

Sune’ere gave a look to his opponent that spoke depths about how much he had grown in the past few months.  Normally his battles of late had started off with him in a jovial tone, almost ready to make a quick comment and have fun.  Now he was fully sizing up his opponent, every angle of attack and escape, every piece of gear.  The hoarfrost gaze was now more appropriate than it had ever been in his life. Though he doubted either of them would of been so dumb as to move close to each other before the first volley from their guns.  Such close range would of been avoided by Sune’ere at all costs, even going so far as to back up from her if she came within an eyeballed thirty feet or so.   Already he was amping up his body and preparing for the simple acknowledgement of combat to come.  Once that nod came, before it had even finished he would burst from inaction directly into life.  He had been waiting like a spring that had been pulled taut and waited for release.

He had already sprung to life his force projection field, keeping it at a solid ten feet to inform him of any incoming attacks.  Moving to his immediate left, the first kick against the ground would send him in a long and circling arc around her at amplified speeds that she may have trouble keeping up with.  This was intended to allow him to potentially get into a blind spot.  However it should be noted that his first kick also used a property of the FP field, aligning his initial kick off to strike both of his gauntlets upon the ground and send them shooting towards her with quite a bit of force behind them.  Khooey had never really had the pleasure of seeing Sune’ere fight with all his toys, had she?  And the trials had seen him at a distinct disadvantage because of it.  Wherever the gauntlets met resistance, whether it be a bullet, hitting Khooey directly, or potentially smacking into the ground, they would activate.  The right gauntlet let out a force push that struck whatever had activated it with the equivalent kinetic force of a truck going highway speeds.  In the case of the ground this would cause a sizeable crater in the ground.  The left gauntlet would freeze whatever it touched.  Ground, Khooey, bullets, a rock?  Yep that’s a freezing.  As useful as these might be the gauntlets unless being actively fed, were more or less a one charge use.  A nice distraction to start off, that if not paid attention to, could help Sune come through with a real win.

As she had drawn her iron, so too was Sune a quick draw that could match her in speed on the draw.  His guns were his favored weapon and he kept her at a distance for just that reason.  With his sudden burst of speed and depending on which hand she used to fire her gun, she may have to turn herself more just to get a clear shot at her target.  It may of given him time to take one or maybe even two shots at her.  The first from his left gun was aimed at her center of mass, around her stomach area, where it might potentially do some incapacitating damage.  The moment the rune bullet hit flesh or armor, it would launch a force strike against her that was strong enough to not only knock her on her ass, but potentially send her flying back.  Like being hit full force by a potentiae’s fist.  He had used his experience against his sister to really hone in just how much power should be in his weapons.  The second shot was not aimed at Khooey, but the ground where she was running upon.  The new bullet he had developed needed to be tested out.  Once the bullet smashed against the ground it would bore into the ground, opening a five foot wide hole in its path, as the ground would seem to cease to exist beneath her feet.  If all went according to plan, she would simply fall into the hole which had been made beneath her, and then the walls of that pit would contract around her, sealing her in.

Now if her shots were meant to be fired off and track with him, she would need to aim ahead of him to actually have a chance at hitting.  Plus one shoulder would be unseeable to her as he tried his best to almost always keep his right side to her.  If she tracked well enough, and he certainly didn’t doubt she could hit a fast moving target, she was a sentinel after all.  The shot at the shoulder would either be dodged by simple fact of how fast he was moving, or it would be met with a loud metallic clang as the bullet would of intercepted his shoulder armor which was beneath his cloak.  Sune was moving quickly enough that a shot at something smaller than his shoulder might actually be unfeasible, even for master gunslingers like the both of them.
