The youthful looking male had found his way to the outpost from Market. He had spent a few days in the other City, and had paid for transport by crafting a few things for some shady Black-Sun traders, from house something or other. Probably one of the lesser ones.

He was dressed a bit similar to the locals, but his skin was fair, and his hair was slightly curled and a ginger red, giving it a vague appearance of fire. His eyes were green, and were marked around themselves to just below his brow and around his cheeks. He wore loose fitting clothing, slops with pointed shoes. A vermilion sash tied around his waist, and a matching scarf. His arms were bare, save golden wrought bangles and rings. His outfit however had more of an oriental feel than the typical south-west Asian aspects of Black-Sun. His clothing was also a deep maroon.

Why was he here? To gather knowledge. He might return to Market, but he wanted to see what this world offered. He had heard this "Black-Sun Empire" was rather advanced and refined. And its people seemed to have a lot in common with his own. A strange fabricated puppet stood on his shoulder, watching with sparkling eyes that moved with eldritch life.

A pistol was holstered at his hip, though it looked strange. It was rather long, and had holes in its barrel, as well as on the handle. It was cool at the docks, with the sea foam rising in the air. Delarinn liked the sea. He moved along the docks, looking for where the shops were, perhaps a pawnbroker or simple trader.

A large cargo ship pulled into the docks closely followed by a call announcing the arrival to the Black-Sun Empire. A few travellers would emerge and quickly make their way off the ship and into the hustle and bustle of the area, a lone female now stood at the top of the ramp while the workers continued to unload the cargo. It was Avalines’ first time to the Black-Sun Empire and in truth had not heard that much about the place either, but it was somewhere new and perhaps she would settle here.
A small breath would inhale the sea air before stepping off the ramp and onto the docks, a small wave given to the captain of the ship in thanks for allowing her to catch a ride, though it was a bit more complex than that. As far as weapons would be concerned it would appear as if she had none, though there would be a small dagger held to her back hidden away under the swaying dark black fabric of the open floor length cardigan she wore.
The attire under the cardigan would be a corset type top with crimson and silver detail, ribbons pulling it in at the back with boned lining to frame her petite figure. The belt at her waist tilted to lean toward the left thigh which held a small pouch which would rest on black skin tight slacks. A pair of metal heeled ankle boots on her feet which gave her a seductive sway in her steps and caused those long dark brown curled locks to bounce with each step.
Avaline took a few more steps before pausing as a big bag was put on the floor in front of her, leaning forward she would pick it up and pull it over her right shoulder, hands in small fingerless net gloves showing off her silver tipped sharp nails. A small smile lingered on her natural features giving her a more approachable and feminine look rather to the darker make-up she had often worn in the past. Piercing ice blue eyes looked out at the people as she moved among them now looking for a place to set up a trade, she had many a valuable thing to offer from her lands and she would need the money if she was planning on staying.
Finally finding a space between a few stalls, she set out a dark purple cloth and placed the items she had upon it, blades from Elvin design, mythril shirts and rare expensive gems only found in Re’Midy, all on offer as well as types of breads, trinkets and jewellery.

Del saw the ship pull in, he had not amassed any "employees" yet, he knew he seemed like he had little to offer, but the elven female seemed sure of herself. He knew he had something to offer if given a chance. His people had mastered both spellcraft and technology in ages past...

He approached her slowly, as she seemed fairly well protected. His own reddish hair swaying in the wind from the east as he looked at her for a moment. "Excuse me..." he said in a softer toned voice. "Would you happen to be setting up a shop?" he asked, though wondering if this was a stupid question. Then again, she could be doing a lot of things for all he knew.

He expected her to be exasperated by his query, but was on guard as well. He was not exactly a fighter, but he could take care of himself. He looked at her for her response, hoping he might finally catch a break with her and make a decent contact to start his own "business".

Avaline glanced up from her little stall laid out on the ground, the male whom approached would be offered a small nod as she continued to place items down, that was until his question was asked causing the female to glare at him like he was telling a joke or something. A few blinks later and the realisation it was not a joke she perked a brow, “I hope so. Otherwise I’ve just done all this for nothing.” The smile would show her amusement to his question. “See something you like?” she asked seeing if he was there to buy something or lingering before whatever business he had took him away again.

Either way the company was welcomed and after placing the final pieces on the fabric she dusted off her hands and stood up, “First time here?” she asked curiously watching him for a moment longer, though her demeanour would be pleasant and relaxed Avaline would remain guarded and ready to move if she needed to. After all never know what to expect these days and in an unknown place, she had no idea what the people would be like or the people who passed through for that matter. He could be out to rob her for all she knew.

Her initial response went as expected. Del bowed a bit. "Forgive me, but for all I know you were setting up a shelter or something, there are quite a few wayfarers in this colony it seems..." he said as he eyed her. "Perhaps I do at that..." he said with a faint smirk.

"As a matter of fact it is." he replied to her own query. "I am seeking to start a venture of my own... I was wondering if perhaps I can supply you with some items... at a low price of course since I know you are starting up, but perhaps access to the wares I can craft will give your starter company a boost..." he said moving seamlessly into a buisness negotiation from casual conversation quite quickly.

He looked her in the eye as she spoke despite his short stature. "Do you plan on specializing in anything in particular? Drugs and Alchemics? Talismans? Armaments?" he asked. "I am quite proficient at any of these things... But to be clear I am not looking for a job, I am looking for an arrangement." he told her.

Avaline eyed him as he spoke of a venture of his own, she listened and even contemplated if she wanted to get involved with setting up something more permanent with added items of his own, “Hmmm.” would be her response not totally sold on the idea. The more he spoke though the more she would listen and then he asked about her specialization causing her to chuckle lightly, “Look around. I specialise in Elvin armoury, baking and crafting and pretty much anything else I can get my hands on from my home land. Desired stuff you know.” she said with a wink.

Finally, she mauled over the question a little more seriously, “I tell you what. You show me something that can sell here and what you can offer and I will consider your proposal. Until then I’m not interested and besides, from the way you are talking you expect me to be the one staying at the shop and minding the business.” this had annoyed her just a little. “I’m more of the adventure type, I like to explore and this…” she opened her hands and looked about the blanket of items, “Helps fund for those adventures.” Not that she needed money but not everywhere took Elvin coin so she needed to do this every once in a while so she could actually set up a place. This was after all how she had managed to get over 30 houses all in different locations across the worlds.

"Elven crafts" was somewhat foreign to his ears, but it sounded like a Xenoid or non-human matter of artificing. Though such things were considered relatively rare, it was a good affiliation. "I see..." he said after she finished explaining herself. He thought a moment, and made a vague gesture. "I am a glyph-scribe, an alchemist, and an artificer..." he told her. He left out "sorcerer" as that was a rare-art and it was good to keep it secret or in ones pocket for certain situations.

"As such I can sell a great manner of things, but..." he reached in his coat pocket, and took out what looked like a badge with a clip. It was glyphed with sigils and the center at a quarters crystal. "This is known as a 'Talis'." he said. "They are mediums of power, and this one is glyphed... with various wards, and you have my permission to test it, if you think its worth selling, I will sell it to you for 1/2 a pound of gold, and I think you can conceivably sell it for three times as much..." he did not give her the full details of how it worked though.
